Terms of Service

Welcome to Acid. By creating an account or using the Acid app or website (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service.
2. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Abuse
Acid has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. This includes but is not limited to:
- Sexual or sexually suggestive content involving anyone
- Sexual content involving minors of any kind (this is illegal and will be reported to NCMEC)
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats against any person or group
- Content that incites violence or promotes self-harm
- Spam, scams, impersonation, or deceptive content
- Sharing of personal information without consent (doxxing)
- Content that violates intellectual property rights
Acid does not currently allow any sexual, explicit, or pornographic content of any kind. This policy may evolve in future versions of the Service with appropriate age verification and content controls, but in this version of Acid, such content is prohibited regardless of how it is tagged or categorized.
Users who post objectionable content or engage in abusive behavior will have their content removed and may be banned from the platform without warning. Repeat or severe offenders will be permanently banned and, where applicable, reported to law enforcement.
3. Reporting and Moderation
Every piece of user-generated content in Acid — including posts, comments, profiles, chat messages, direct messages, wall posts, and character cards — has a Report function accessible from the content's menu. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours. Reports involving child safety, threats of violence, or other urgent categories are prioritized and addressed within hours.
You can also Block any user. Blocking removes their content from your view immediately and prevents them from contacting you. Blocking is bidirectional and silent — the blocked user is not notified.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you post to Acid. By posting, you grant Acid a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate your content within the Service.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that you have the right to post it and that it does not violate these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party.
5. Account Termination
Acid may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and removes your personal data within 30 days, in accordance with applicable law (GDPR, GDPR-K, CCPA).
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acid and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app and through the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
